Emily + Max | Camp Hero and 360 East at Montauk Downs, Montauk
Wow! The view was spectacular! If you are looking for a beautiful backdrop for your summer wedding then look no further.
The sprawling house in Amagansett that Emily + Max rented for their entire bridal party to get ready and stay the night before and after the wedding was impressive and we took advantage of doing some great Bridal Party photos at before their ceremony at Camp Hero, Montauk.
Even if I describe the view, you'd have to see it to feel it's beauty. Emily and her bridesmaids walked down a white carpet that led right to Max under a flower covered arch, on a cliff overlooking the Montauk Lighthouse. 150 of their family and friends looked on as Max's father officiated the ceremony. Plenty of laughs kept the crowd in high spirits and ready to celebrate at 360 East @ Montauk Downs. With another gorgeous view to celebrate in front of, the party carried on, with dancing, temporary tattoos and other shenanigans. Emily + Max's more than capable planner kept everything running smoothly throughout the day with plenty of logistics and guest transportation. Thanks Alyson!

Whitney + Matt | Miller Beach Surf Club, Miller Place
Their Love Story
Whitney and Matt met while Matt wa stationed at Fort Bragg with 82nd Airborne Division and Whitney was working in Durham. When Matt exited the Army in 2012, he moved to Durham where he and Whitney enjoyed going to Durham Bull baseball games, hiking in Umstead Park and running with their rescue puppy, Chance. In 2013, the two moved to Fayetteville, NC. Matt accepted a job with Fayetteville Police Department and Whitney began the Physician Assistant Program at Methodist University. Several months later while celebrating a snowy Christmas Eve in Long Island, Matt proposed to Whitney...and the rest is history. Since, the two continue to enjoy hiking and camping, going to local hockey and baseball games, vacationing at the beach, and spending time together. They also adopted a second rescue dog named Bella. Matt continues to enjoy working as a police officer and Whitney is working as a pediatric physician assistant.
Their Wedding
Cuteness overload!
Whitney and Matt didn't want to see each other before their ceremony but wanted to be able to touch hands for a few moments so we crafted a way for Whitney to sneak out of her bridal suite and give Matt a kiss on the cheek while his eyes were closed. However Whitney was crying so hard Matt almost opened his eyes to make sure she was ok. Crisis averted we covered his eyes while continuing to capture the most heartfelt moment between the two.
Whitney and Matt really wanted sunset photos on the beach which almost didn't happen. No one knew Dad's speech would be long as we all watched the sun setting. As soon as Dad finished Stephanie, awesome wedding coordinator at Miller Beach Surf Club, whisked us down to the beach for the most beautiful sunset I've ever had the pleasure of capturing.
Matt made a speech thanking all service men and women (including their Grandma) for everything they do, and after a standing ovation the party continued.
Whitney and Matt - You two are truly a class act and your love is felt by everyone that surrounds you! Congrats!

Caroline + Matt | Danfords Hotel and Marina. Port Jefferson, NY
Their Love Story
I love Caroline and Matt! They are absolutely head over heels in love and were barely even aware that another person was following them with a camera or three all day.
They met back in 2011. Caroline was from LI studying to be a vet and Matt was from MA studying finance. The differences between them were what drew them together the most, like Caroline's LI accent and the fact that she gracefully dropped pizza all over herself on their first date. They both have similar interests in travel, water sports and NY bagels :) After 3 and a half years Matt proposed to Caroline while they were on a Key West graduation celebration for Caroline.
Their Wedding
Caroline and Matt both having such a love for the water chose Danfords for the beautiful views, the venue itself and the ability to have all their friends and family stay with them and celebrate all weekend long. Caroline and Matt wanted to have a first look out on the docks privately so we walked him out there and had Caroline walk up behind him and he turned to her. Meanwhile we were at the top dock capturing everything along with their bridal party who insisted they must be present for the meeting. There wasn't a dry eye and that included myself. Caroline and Matt took 5 minutes of conversing, crying, hugging and kissing before they even noticed we were all watching them.
It was a beautiful celebration for two very special people.

Caroline + Matt's advice to the newly engaged:
"Take a deep breath and remember that commitment is much more important than the wedding. Planning can be stressful, but don't forget to have fun! Keep in mind love is wonderful - and finite- this is your time, your relationship. So take time to pause and enjoy it. Don't sweat the small stuff!"

Their Love Story
Stephen an avid soccer player and coach wasn't looking for love when he "accidentally" met up with Meagan who was babysiting for her friend Gerlalyn's (the planner) children. So the soccer coach and babysitter had an accidental meeting and the rest is history. 5 years later he proposed to Meagan at the top of Mt Pigsah in Asheville NC.
Their Wedding
It was all the glitz and glamour you'd expect from Larkfield and Meagan and Stephen didn't leave out one last detail.Check out their galley to see all the awesome photos we took. This bridal party really knew how to get down. This wedding also marked my first time actually photography a bare chested strip tease put on by the groom. Not a bad days work I must say :)

Sara + Daniel | Stonebridge Country Club, Smithtown NY
Their Love Story
Ahhh, the old babysitter story, lol! Sara was the neighbors babysitter and once Dan set his eyes on hers there was no turning back. He'd find any reason to go over to the house when he knew Sara would be there just to get a chance to talk to her. Sara thought his silly ideas were adorable and couldn't resist his charm for long so she finally went out with him. They quickly became inseparable. After 5 years together Dan blindfolded Sara and when he removed the the blindfold 30 of their family and friends were there to witness Dan get on his knee and ask for her hand in marriage.
Their Wedding
A little rain couldn't stop us! We ran through the rain drops and were able to capture some beautiful outdoor photos at the Stonebridge Country Club before a rocking party with Sara and Dan's huge 22 person bridal party. Could we please just take a moment to acknowledge Sara's gorgeous blue eyes!

Alanna + Travis | Carlyle on the Green - Farmingdale
Their Love Story
Alanna and Travis met online on a little website called Plenty of Fish. When Alanna came across the picture of Travis in his fireman's uniform she couldn't resist to take a look at his profile, shortly after he contacted her. His first line being "Do you know how tall I am"? Her response "Yes, am I supposed to be scared?"
Just 11 months later, while on a trip to Epcot Travis proposed to Alanna in front of a growing crowd while Alanna was sure it was an April Fool's prank. After saying no she realized it was the real thing and finally answered yes while the crowd broke out in cheers.
Their Wedding
They had me at "pug in the bridal party". When I heard that Alanna would be pulling their pug in a red wagon when her and Travis had their first look I was absolutely sold on the idea of capturing their vision. And a rainy day was not going to stop us. We found a dry area to carry out Alanna and Travis' vision and it was beautiful. Besides that this was my first wedding that included a beer pong tournament which was super fun not to mention the bag pipers as Travis's tribute to all the service men and women. It was truly a beautiful affair that I had the pleasure of working with some of my favorite vendors.
