Kim + Jay | The Old Field Club, East Setauket

Kim + Jay | The Old Field Club, East Setauket

Their Love Story
Kim and Jay meet 8 years ago while working at Sunrise Assisted Living while they were both still in school and working part time.  They stayed together all through college and on New Years Day 2015 Jay asked Kim to marry him. Of course she said "yes".

Their Wedding
Very simply said. Kim and Jay wanted to be married and have a great celebration with all their family and friends and that's exactly what they did. Oh, and they wanted to include their furry babies Parker, Molly, Rocky and Daisy in some pre wedding photos too :)

Kerry + Jonathan | East Wind Estate at East Wind, Wading River

Kerry + Jonathan | East Wind Estate at East Wind, Wading River

Their Love Story
I just love hearing how couples meet and have an instant connection, like it's meant to be. I truly believe that each one of us has a perfect match out there and it's so magically when you meet them. Kerry and Jonathan had that kind of story. They had been trying out the online dating had had both been unsuccessful thus far. They captured each others attention on Plenty of Fish and after emailing back and forth and talking on the phone for hours decided they had to meet. As simple as that, at a sidewalk restaurant, and a bottle of wine they found a connection they could deny.

After two years of dating, Jonathan surprised Kerry with a trip to the Fire Island Lighthouse and a proposal to be his wife. The rest is history...

Their Wedding
Kerry and Jonathan said their "I do's" in front of 160 of their closet friends and family in and outdoor ceremony at the beautiful Estate at East Wind followed by a filled dance floor all night.

One of my favorite parts of the day was when we tried to coax Kerry and Jonathan out onto a dock to take some photos at a nearby beach. They both seemed really apprehensive on the dock and claimed that Kerry was a bit of a "klutz" and didn't want to chance it. Thinking that they were just being unadventurous, literally 2 minutes later Kerry and Jonathan somehow managed to bang heads with one another leading to a good 5 minutes of full on laughter at the validity in her earlier claim.

Kerry + Jonathan's Advice to the Newly Engaged
"Enjoy every moment and don't let the planning stress you out. It goes by so quickly!"
